With an academic background in Fine Art, Jess began her career working with a collaborative of celebrated furniture makers, designers and retailers in Edinburgh.

Working for small, creative businesses, Jess gained exposure across a variety of marketing skillsets, launching new brands and breaking into national and international markets.

Jess went on to develop a decade long career in the construction industry, working in-house for reputable architects and contractors in marketing and business development roles.

Here she learned the power and the dynamism of words to effectively communicate business ideas with flare and interest, while balancing corporate vision and strategy.  

In 2024 Jess founded Taylesmith to help others master their promotional content and navigate their brand journey.
